The trigger guard on my Norinco snapped :bangHead: does anyone know where I can get either a new trigger guard or if not an entire trigger assembly?

It was aways difficult to get it past the trigger and when I was guiding it past the trigger it snapped.... grrrrr

Two things. Gun must be cocked and safety on.
And sometimes the roll pin from the mag catch candrift a bit stopping gthe trigger guard.

It is always better to take your time jiggling and wiggling and tapping then it is to use brute force.

how loose is it supposed to be?? I find that mine has a fair amount of resistance as well going back into the locked position...

Don't you worry you are in good company with me. I snapped my USGI trigger guard hooks doing the same thing. And many of you at my clinics have seen this trigger guard with the broken hook.

Cheers, Barney

i thought it needs to be loose enough such that the locking tab of the trigger guard can get within 1/8" of the tip of the trigger before requiring significant force when trying to lock the guard closed

Mine WAS always difficult to get passed the trigger, but I was installing it on my new stock and I guess they don't like each other... I will have to make sure the receiver is really tight into the stock before I try it again

Just to update... I got my trigger guard from Treeline the other day. After a couple hours of pounding with a rubber mallet, the trigger assembly finally locked into the EBR stock. I really had no idea that it would be this tight. I cannot wait to shoot it, I'm hoping to get a chance this weekend... will provide an update, I am really pumped

Don't shoot it until it passes the test-after-assembly

Seriously - this post is VERY important:

Other people have found that the M305 rifle / Sage EBR stock combo needs modification to avoid slam-fires (unintentional full-auto with the possibility of a premature ignition of the round before it's fully chambered - a bad thing).

I found this problem with mine, after failing the test-after-assembly. I've never fired it. Seriously, this is a major safety issue, if it fails the test-after-assembly, you'll need to do some dremeling. As an aside, one shouldn't have to pound a trigger group in - something's wrong. I'm curious if you'll be able to get it back out again...

In fact, SAGE's prodcut sheet for the EBR is specific that non milspec (i.e. Norinco) rifles require gunsmithing to fit properly.
