The reason everyone is quick to blame Indians is because of the underlying complaint of unfair harvesting practices. I think the problem of unfair or unequal harvesting laws for different people is something to be concerned about. The article seems to talk about a fairly rapid population crash. I doubt that a population crash is caused by indians, atv's or wolves - those pressures seem constant, not something that would cause a rapid change. More likely, as noted in the article, it's environmental changes causing the decline. Still, not even that's guaranteed. That's why they need the study. Then we can hopefully stop speculating and replace it with facts.
