Boyds Walnut Stocks

As to the Savage's - I'm not looking at that company's rifles until they address their lack of service up here. And yes I do own one.

Was just bringing that up so people could see what the stocks look like. I have 2 centerfire savages and won't be buying another. In fact I will most likely be selling one lol

Was looking earlier today, and they were showing a $100 limit on their website.

Just checked and they still are....

The red font is theirs, not mine.

I contacted Boyd's over 2 months ago to order a Walnut Stock, with ALL of the fancy extras, for my Sako M85 Finnlight.
I'm sure that they will get back to me .. well, maybe not as sure as I was 1 month ago .. ok, ok, much less sure than I was 2 months ago.

*glances at calendar .. sighs*

Here's mine.
Don't bother with the kit. Transfer it all over from the Norinco stock. You might need a new ferrule if the crimp is too difficult to work with. As for finishing and sealing, I guess it depends on Boyds' definition of finished is. I suppose there's no harm in sealing it some more if you prefer.

I got mine unfinished, got a new ferrule and used all the other metal stuff from the chinese stock. I did the bedding myself after a Hungry clinic. Sinished the stock to my liking. I had some M14Doctor Accurizing done. I swapped in a quality spring guide, worked the trigger assembly and voila!

I'm thinking hard about picking up one of the claro xx grade stocks for my T3. Having a hard time swallowing price without seeing a finished product ... come on some one buy one up and post some pics :)

Everything you need to order is on the Boyd's website... they are growing rapidly as a company and expanding their product line offerings... I have ordered dozens of stocks over many years and have yet to be disappointed... but because of their frenetic pace, Customer service has suffered... don't bother calling Boyd's expecting them to place the order for you... you will wait a long time... just go online to place your order or to order a catalogue. Their products cannot be beaten at this price point.

I'd like to get something other than the rubber stock that came with my Remington SPS .223 tactical heavy barrel. Anyone else here had a the hogue replaced and do they provide a good alternative?

P.S - Boyd's just introduced new grip cap and forend tip custom options... including a burgundy diamond wood and rosewood laminate that is beautiful... it would look great on their walnut or jacaranda stocks.
