If you're up for it you could always put one together yourself.

That way you could assembled from top notch parts and choos exactly what you want from top to bottom and prob still stay in your budget.

For 1500$ I would recommend a Daniel Defence M4V5 or maybe a used Stag/Colt. Wait and find a used DD for around 1400$ on the EE, they are a really nice rifle for the price.
 
DD M4V5(1500$) if you want a good all-around 16'' barrel and plan to shoot down in the US or DD MK18(1700$) if you want a nice compact(10.3''), mobile, lightweight AR15. I have both and love them, very good value. With the leftover on your budget you can get 5xPmags(100$), a Aimpoint PRO(440$), a Geissele trigger(270$), BFG VCAS sling(50$), Streamlight TLR-1 Flashlight(120$), a set of MagPul MBUS(110$), 500 rounds of AE or PMC ammo (250$) and a trigger lock(6$) :p!!! You'll have a prenium complete systeme and ammo for under 3K and some amazing time!! :rockOn: :ar15:
 
Cheapest AR I've owned was a Norc and best or most expensive was a LMT MRP. Now I own just one - a DDM4 V7 and I honestly have to say that I think DD is the best quality for the dollar out there.
 
I will have to track down a DD rifle. I have fondled a NEA, Norinco, Ruger, Bushmaster, and DPMS. They were all pretty awesome. The Norinco was obvious the least expensive but compared to the others it felt, like gritty? The action was gritty, the selector switch was funky feeling. I liked the NEA but I thought it felt boxy and I am not too crazy about their rail system, that's just my own feelings on it though. I am enamored with the Bushmaster MOE version but I should really try and play with a DD before I buy.
 
I just finished swapping my Stag over to a 10.5 with a 10 inch rail... its a really nice feeling gun. Better than I expected. Very smooth and everything is nice and tight. Im still waiting for my DDM4V5 to come in and I do have a few alterations I want to make to it right off the top, but I only paid $1400 for that gun and it was unshot. Cant beat that. I have only $1200 in the Stag and will be selling it as soon as the DD shows up. There are lots of great deals on high end AR's in the EE... many are un fired and including shipping for hundreds less than retail BEFORE taxes or shipping.
