Some more .22LR questions

Hi there everyone,

I keep seeing all the posts about the .22LR shortage.

I live in Southern Ontario and ill admit there is somewhat of a shortage, but its not like I cant find any ammo. I just cant really find any CCI Blazer .22 witch is what I prefer to buy. I have found the Remington Golden 525 bulk packs for 22.99$ but thats the best deal I've found.

Im just wondering if there is any bricks of .22LR in the 20$ price range anywhere from Ottawa to Niagara? Any advice would be appreciated, If you dont want to divulge your source to everyone give me a message! :)

I just gave away a Brick of Remington Subsonics, which I paid $23 for not long ago, I can replace it at the lGS for $58. The days of finding the good ammo you are after for $20 a brick are a little less common than they used to be. When you find what you are looking for buy it
 
try a Canadian tire,

the store I was at had Winchester T22 target and it was priced at $2.33 per box (not sure if that was an error or not on their part, didn't really care), I bought up the whole inventory 3 weeks ago... their point of sale systems might be nationally programmed for pricing... the price on the tag it was red (means sale) at $3.xx, when I got the worker to check the 2 boxes I was originally going to get, they came up as a retail of $2.33 in his scanner thing.

might be worth a shot.
 
I try and stay away from the Winchester .22 stuff, never had much luck, Plus even at 2.33$ for 50 rounds thats like 5 cents a round, pretty much normal for all bulk ammo prices lol Thanks though!

And holy I guess there is really not that much around after all,
 
Gagnons had a whack of Blazer ammo 2 weeks ago when I was there. IIRC it was 29.99 for 500 rds

I still have Winchester wildcats that say 11.99 on the brick! Ahhhh the good old days!!
 
Seems to be a much greater shortage in the USA than Canada. Lots of forums I go to have complains of ammo shortages. Lots of 22 ammo here. $26.00 and up for a 500 pack
 
sail in whitby had that cheap remington 525 pack for $19.99 last weekend. Sorry, I am not sure exactly what type it was becuse I never buy remington. If you ever go to Canadian Tire in belleville they have about 10 different brands/type to choose from most of time.

Hahah I wish I knew that before 3 days ago, I stopped in there just to get frustrated by there not very helpful staff.

Ya that was a mistake on there part, They labeled it incorretny and that stock they had sold out in less then a day when the GM workers got wind of it,

They brought more in on the shelf the next day but for like 25$ witch is the proper price. Shoulda bought more when I had the chance, oh well its just Remington stuff lol
 
I picked up a few of boxes of CCI Standard today, thought I was getting low. While I was putting it away I did a quick count 10,000 rounds, oh well I guess it will keep.
 
I'm currently shooting down in Phoenix and earlier this week I did the gunshop tour thing (very impressive by the way). Cabelas have tons of ammo on the floor in all calibers, but you are limited to 100 rds of .22 per visit.
I've heard from a friend in Florida who can't find .22 for love nor money.
