I do not own a center fire .22 cal rifle and was thinking it is time that a fellow does.I would go 22-250.

I have been looking and it doesn't seem to be much else than Savages in a fast twist offering.

Is their other manufacturers that I have overlooked or not seen listed product?

Maybe a fellow is better off with getting a donor action and getting a barrel from one of our fine sponsors.

I would think you wold be better off with the .223 in a 1 in 7 if you want a fast twist for heavy bullets.

That does sound very interesting indeed!

Looking at the 9 twist rifles at savage, I see that one could re-barrel a lower end model and be the same dollars or even less with a faster higher quality barrel.

Then I'd need another Sightron too!
