Help Stripped Aimpoint mounting screw ** UPDATE**

I spoke with you at Xmas to order but unfortunately you were out of stock, I wish I could have waited because Im not sure how much help the dealer I bought from will be. ( had to use up the money before year end) or I would have waited to purchase.

I'll check with Aimpoint and see what we can do.

Another option if warranty, or Farmboy, doesn't pan out is to have the whole drilled and tapped if it bothers you that much. As said three should do, but if you desire all mounting holes to work drilling and tapping might be the fix.

It does seem pretty tight with 3 screws, but my OCD will drive me crazy :p

I had three screws tight and the scope still went flying. Maybe the .44 is just too much for these sights. I now mounted a Vortex Spark. It couldn't be built any worse than the H1 is. Really disappointing.

FIXED IT ! Use a 7/64 drill bit, mounted in a t-handle, to clean out the remaining thread damage. Get a weaver rail for a Bennelli Nova, complete with the screws, and toss the rail. The screws will tighten in perfectly if you use straight, even force, no stripping and no protruding screw head out of the mounting plate countersinks. I thought this sight was done for so nothing ventured, nothing gained. Needless to say, the mount won't be coming off again.
