Hi guys,

I just wanted to post a quick pic of my Savage Axis 22-250, which ill say shoots amazingly well for the price, in my new Boyd's thumbhole stock in forest camo. It dropped right in, and took all of five minutes to install! I really like these stocks, and this is my third one, with one more to come soon for my Savage BMag.

For those of you who dislike the cheap plastic stocks on these budget minded rifles, look Boy's up for a very high quality replacement. And, if you can get them ordered to a Parcel Service, or a friend in the US, they are a very cheap replacement option!

Very nice! I got the Boyd's TH stock in charcoal grey for my SPS Varmint .223 and had it glass bedded. The rifle shoots a solid 3/4 moa now with factory ammo.

I have one in grey for my Weatherby Vanguard Varmint special in .223 as well! I also have one in Royal Jakaranda for my Savage Model 12 stainless .308. It appears Royal Jakaranda is no longer a standard color option, but cost 15.00 extra! :-(

I can't decide what color to get for my Savage BMag, which I have a Leupold Vari-X III 6-20x40 scope coming for as well ;-) Im seriously considering Grey for the BMag, but Jakaranda and Forest Camo look so nice as well! Decisions, Decisions! It would be nice if they offered the Evolution profile for the BMag as well! (like the Savage 93R17 BSEV stock)

These Boyds stocks are very nice in quality IMO, and its hard to believe they offer the AXIS line for the same price of 99.00 as any other lightweight thumbhole, as they have to include a metal trigger guard and built in recoil lug! Truly a drop in solution to the cheap Crap-Plastic stocks Savage puts the Axis into!

Ill be sure to post some pics of my BMag stock when I get it!

Ordered one for a Mauser Action a week ago, color no longer in stock after I ordered one. Wondering if supply of Blanks will be an issue after the Rutland fire... Checked several models and "in Stock" is disappearing fast on some models.

I have bought two Boyds stocks and neither were "drop in" I ended up bedding them both. The one I bought for my Axis was a little harder to bed than the one on my 116. In the end I was very happy with them, but without bedding them the barrel would sit in the channel so crooked that the barrel would touch the one side.
 
I have the forest camo for my marlin 60 and it dropped right in perfect. I then bought the pepper for my remington 7400 and that was a different story. The butstock bolted on perfect after I ordered a longer bolt from numrich but after 5 shots the forend split in half.I contacted Boyds and they said there was recall on them and they would not be making them anymore. They would give me my money back for it but would not take back the butstock. I decided to try to fix their problem myself. After many hours of sanding and fiberglassing to strengthen in I figure I have one of the only 7400's with a Boyds laminate.
