Ruger 1911 Navy Seal Edition

I don't undrstand all this argument about the rationality of buying a special edition. I do collect swiss army knives and about 1 year ago, I bought a limited edition of a reproduction of the first knife Victorinox issued to the swiss army. I paid 500$ for that knife. It stays in its box and I will of course never use it. Once in a while I open the box, manipulate it and wipe it carefully before I put it back in its box. That's it but i feel so good about owning it. That is the point of buying a limited edition object. There is nothing rationale about it. Business wise you know you are being ripped off but so what? You just enjoy the object.
