I got my vs58 7.5 inch in 223 2 weeks ago. This gun his so fun to shoot with...
My question his should I buy ar15 adapter or more original mags?

I like my AR adaptor so far. Wish it was metal. Do you already have AR mags? Also with the adaptor installed you can run 10 pistol mags(C-Products orange follower best). All my AR mags function perfectly. Mag release is same spot as an AR. That's a big plus. Pretty sweet having mags drop free on a vz58 too. I'd save original parts just in case tho.

Ar adaptor all the way the quality of the polymer in the adaptor is superior to the quality of the plastic in the magazine's and with the price of ar mags half of the vz223 mags its a no brainer mine works good with a all Usgi style mags and mine even works with gen 3 pmags and lar pistol mags rremember if you buy the adaptor you will also need to purchase a ar mag release assembly to make it work

My mags were pinned so tight the cracked after 10 rounds and broke into peaces under the pressure of the springs

I bought a vz to get something different than an AR ... so pimp it too much make me feel like I take the wrong path...

Its a scout scope mount. It's made to fit where rear sight leaf sets. The BC tactical one sits lower I think

My VZ needs to be machined in order to accept the AR mag adapter. So I didn't bother got a couple extra mags instead.

just bought it yesterday, its .223 shot about 160 rounds through it, its so much fun to shoot! but looking for the 10 round mag, this 5rd mag is a burden, anyone know where i can buy one?
and also looking to mount a red dot on it, what parts do i need etc....

mag changes are annoying with original mags, I have the adapter.
Im sure it would break in real battle conditions since its plastic, but perfect for the range and I have a lot of ar mags already so it was an easy choice

Last shoot session we realized something weird. A lot a powder not burn stay in the chamber...1 brass jam in the chamber and a few others have weird fire form patern due to the unburn powder. My vz doesn't like chines munition.

The followers on AR mags like to wear out quickly failing to function the last round bolt hold open. Some magazines won't operate the last round bolt hold open when new. My Chinese AR-15 magazine which has a metal follower is the only one that reliably holds the bolt open but doesn't reliably feed ammunition. I've been considering on switching back to the original mags.

Thanks guys for your 2cents...I realy like my vz58 and I bought it to get something different than a AR so it will be stupid to pimp it like one.

I will try a rail and put a eotech on it for fun...
