Do any of you Fudds still use Nosler Partitions?

The 60 grain Partition in my 22-250 has become my "go-to" wolf/coyote load.

I have one 30-06 that loves the 180 grain Partition and a 308 that still prefers a 165 grain Partition above all else.

I also have a 7x61 Sharpe & Hart that will cluster 3 140 grain Partitions into one ragged hole at 200 yards.

So yes ................ I do still use them. :)

Never was a fan of Nosler Partitions... they are not a magic bullet and I know of game wounded with heavier bullets at insufficient velocity.

I have always preferred Hornady for game animals and don't want my bullet to exit. I never have gone after Grizz.

I may qualify for fudd status, I don't know what it is...

Let me get out my crystal ball... your under 40, have a penchant for black guns and high turrets on your scope, you would be embarrassed to shoot of the bench with a gun that hasn't had a "trigger job," and your grampa "was" a fudd...

Who uses Partitions? Only those who have the experience to know they are the most reliable big game bullet available. The .30-06 and the 180gr Partition...extremely effective and scorned by the "buys into the hype of the newest product on the market" crowd.

I have been using Nosler Partitions since the late seventies and so far they haven't given me any reason to stop using them. Deer and Moose fall over dead when hit by them. No use in trying to reinvent the wheel. But I have got adventurous and tried Accubonds with success. If that makes me a Fudd so be it, elect me to the board directors if you like.

LOL...that description is very far from reality.

Gatehouse, I remember the Federal Hunter Packs. They were great. Shot a lot of deer with those in 150 gr RN .270 Winchester. They were very good shells and were very reasonably priced. Man just when you thought you still remember everything....

I shoot TSX and TTSX exclusively for hunting these days but I wouldn't have any issues using Partition of appropriate weight if I had too.

Ive used them among MANY others. They kill game about as dead as anything else haha. Usually have a fairly good balance of expansion/weight retention in my experiences.

Moderators for this member to refer to any member as a 'FUDD' for using a particular brand/type of bullet is offensive, please remove.

I used to use them all the time. Now I see them collecting dust on store shelves. I can't recall the last animal I shot with a NP, but I think it was circa 1999
