I've been waiting for Wanstalls to get in the tan EOTech's for sometime. Just picked up a new EOTech EXPS3-0 and G33 STS 3x Magnifier on Saturday! Went straight up to the range before setup for our Sunday TacRifle match at TMSA to sight it in. Previously running a vortex sparc (good red dot, but not as good as the EOTech).

EOTech Reticle 1 MOA dot 65 MOA circle
Our match ended up getting cancelled because of snow but sight in was still great! I did two 3 round groups at 50 yards on paper for initial sight in, then two 5 round groups at 100 yards and was dialled in within just under 2 MOA (federal black box bulk). I then did a little "testing" with 6" steel plates just past 50 yards to see how target acquisition time was with the magnifier. I could knock down 8 plates in about 12 seconds (standing fyi). I think the 3x is a good compromise for accuracy/speed (although I admit I had to look at the US Optics 1-8x while at wanstalls - sick
).
At our matches we often have a series of knock down 6" steel plates between 50-100 yards (which are more challenging than people want to admit - its not usually a "give me"). With the 3x G33 magnifier behind the eotech I noticed a significant improvement over the non-magnified 2 MOA dot on my vortex sparc (The EOTech is 1 MOA dot, which I like, magnifier makes it even better).
Further review of the new improved flip to side magnifier mount may follow after March match. Apparently the previous generation mount could flip to side or back unintentionally with movement. I obviously didn't get to test this this weekend, but the flip to side mount feels very positive locking and they certainly advertise it as improved.
