Do any of you Fudds still use Nosler Partitions?

I've been reloading for 50 years+ I use all of Noslers Bullets, they all have a place in my shooting and Hunting....I also use several other bullets with good results.I have never been let down by a Nosler Partition.

Pretty much the way I see it too.Guess I'm in the ranks of the "Fudds" as well, doesn't bother me one bit either.

Makes me a Limey Fudd if such a thing exists although I don't buy Winchester .30 30 ammo. (only because I don't own a 30 30 rifle yet!)

Let me know how it is doing in 50 years :) Price has a lot to do with it I would say. Have boxes of partitions here with 19.99 price tags and 49.99 and that first one was not in 1948 :)

I'm sure it will still be around in some form. I expect they would focus on popular bullets ( like 308 180gr for example) and drop less popular lines. Could also see them changing them up a small bit. They've changed designs before.

I don't use them anymore. In my 260 the front core disintegrating ruins too much meat. If all you want is antlers (a Fudd?) I guess they'd be OK but I eat what I shoot. But new isn't necessarilly better. I went back to Remington component bullets that actually stay in one piece.

Nothing says Fudd more than a round nose cup and core. Those pointy billets go to fast to expand, you know ;)
Here ya go .... A RN 7x57 next to a new fangled 270Winchester.

I'm back using them.. Was using Barnes for a bit, but recovered two that failed to expand..

Brother, you ain't the only one! But you recovered the animal, so "it must have done it's job". And if you didn't recover it then you must have made a bad shot and are blaming the bullet. It only takes 1 or 2 bad experiences to foul a fellow, or gal, on the monolithics. John Barsness told me that the only bullet he has never seen fail is the Partition. While he has 100x more experience than I have, I must say that I agree.

Wholesale sports is listing 500 grain .458 Partitions for $129 for a box of 25 or $5.68 apiece. I think they have successfully Fudd-proofed them. To put it into perspective, Winchester-Supreme factory ammo in the same caliber, loaded with the same bullets is $149. Cabellas sells Federal Premium with TBBCs for $108 a box and have many other premium bullet choices for a similar price. Partitions are great bullets, but they aren't $5.68 apiece great. Nothing is.

Smaller stuff like .30 cal are some of the best hunting bullets made, and fair at the buck a bullet price point.

Partitions cost more and don't kill any better than speer hot cores...I've got a few partial boxes of partitions sitting on the bench for the last decade, maybe one day I'll load them up just to make some room.
Nothing wrong with them but other bullets work just as good for half the price!
