Miculek brake no crush washer?

According to the video here, the comp comes with a locknut but there's no mention of a crush washer. Does that mean that one isn't necessary?

Never installed a muzzle device before, so this is new territory for me. Thanks in advance for your thoughts/advice, guys

The crush washer is to prevent the brake from coming loose and align the muzzle brake. A jam nut does the exact same thing but is reusable.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm assuming it's made of some softer metal then. My sole experience with crush washers was on motorcycle drain plugs and they also had a sealing function, so I just wanted to make sure I do everything by the books when my new doll arrives along with her accessory

The crush washer for muzzle devices is hard steel and serves as a spring, not the same as the ones on drain plugs. The lock nut on the Miculek brake allows you to play with the clocking. Check around 1:46 of the video to see what I mean by clocking.(if you don't know)
