Anyone know of any good .223 ammo deals?

Budget Shooters Supply had Wolf for $320/k, but I just noticed it is up to $420/k now? I had hope that the price would be somewhat more stable on the Eastern European stuff.

Even my AR wasn't absolutely happy with the Norinco ammo but it did a lot better than the T97. Had one ftf out of about 150rds. In the interest of full disclosure, it was -10, was lazy so I used a lubricant that's been untested in below freezing weather and the rifle's brand spankin' new.

That was an EXTREME test. Bi-metal ammo is fine. Zero shooters in Canada will do 10000 rnds rapid fire in a day! If so, just buy a new barrel, you should have no problem affording it.

You may be saving money on cheap ammo, but you will end up paying more for new barrel and parts on short term. How much are you really saving? Maybe it's no big deal on cheap guns, but I do not think it is logical and feasible to use cheap ammo on high end guns, especially hard to get barrels and parts that cost almost the same price of buying a new Norc gun. I'd rather have a longer lasting barrel and parts using quality brass ammo that minimizes wear than cheap steel ammo that wears out your parts faster.

A hard chromed chamber vs the steel case is going to cause the case to wear.

I agree. I have multiple AR's. I only shoot quality ammo out of say my SR15. But my training guns all eat cheaper ammo. BCM or DD barrels are cheap (relatively) to replace, and I shoot 800-1000 during a weekend. I find I can stretch my shooting budget with Norc ammo for training, and I shoot quality BH or Hornady ammo out of my KAC occasionally. Besides, most of my quality ammo is saved for a rainy day ;)

Is this ammo sub par or is it 'get what you pay for' in a Norinco way?

Honestly I was very happy with the TulAmmo, Not one failure with over 200 rounds in one day, couldn't do anymore as my fingers were numb from the cold lol

I even mixed it in with all different kinds of ammo, used cheap mags, good pmags, no issues even when trying to get a failure, That was with the 55gr HPs

Give em a try, last day for the FREE SHIPPING, If you dont like it, Ill buy it from you for half price :D lol
