Here is my new boom stick. Looks like a Frank to me so thats his name. Its an 870 express with a 12.5" barrel, but I swappedthe bolt with one from an old 870 Wingmaster. I think the silver pops nicely with the parked finish. I cant wait to make him go boom this weekend. I was going to put a different stock on him but I think the wood looks badass so it stays

A great looking build Jesse. Thanks for posting. I experimented with a few different sling options on mine and decided on paracord. These 12.5" shotguns turn out just right. Wood furniture courtesy of Dlask Arms.

Here's another idea:

Mine had it on it, bought off the ee here. Where did you get the paracord sling is that the scabbord from hical? Does it seem like it would strap to a camping backpack well? Thanks

Well got over to the range for a second today, and man these SBS are a riot to shoot. I dont recommend the clip on fiber optic sights tho, the ones I had moved due to recoil, after the third shot it was on the ground with the end broken. I was able to get it to stay on for a few more shots but stopped at my gun shop on the way home to get the post from the old snapped off bead drilled out and a new bead installed. I think it will look better with a bead anyways.

Where did you get the paracord sling?

It is from an Ebay user "Gunslinger," color is #20 on his list. Search Ebay: "Adjustable Custom Paracord Gun Rifle Sling With Swivels." The scabbard is from HiCal if I remember correctly. Bought it a few years ago now... . Yes, it will set up on a backpack, molle all over.

I like your style. Wood or laminate gives a shotgun a pleasant heft that black plastic can't touch. I'm looking at picking up the Express smoothbore deer gun (20" IC with rifle sights) and adding an extension for a slightly longer version of what you have there.
