Mp5 ?

Where the heck are you guys finding R-22 rifles??? I would give my left nut for one, and you found a second!!! I'm happy for you guys but man I'm envious. I think the R-22 could be a good platform for a rim fire mp5. A little chop or replacement of the fore end and if your up to it an operating lever on the front left side of the for stock would be sweet. Heck cut a notch for the HK slap. You could also look to Specterarms s2 for inspiration. It looks a lot like an mp5 but the R-22 is closer. If you are anyone here wants to part with your dear R-22 just let me know what organ you want. (that does not sound right). Please think twice before you start cutting up a rare R-22.

I want my mp5 to be completely restorable to original
My first R22 had around 100-200 rounds down the pipe and came with a bushnell holosight for 500$ both are relatively rare and was on the EE for 3 weeks, the sight alone sell for 300$ on ebay from what i've seen.

I've already been ask by pm to do a DIY for my mod so i'll make a little photo thread when I get started (when I get mine in the mail)

Well thanks for the reply guys. If nothing else I am happy for you guys and can't wait to see your builds. If I could suggest using a sold stock and getting Dlask or Heron Arms to make as short a NR barrel made. Would help with the look your seeking for the MP5. With a fixed stock I believe a 10/22 can use a 12.5" barrel and remain NR.

PS a guy at work approached me this week about him and a couple others are getting some specter arms and asked if I'm in. I said yes.

I was debating getting a spectre arms but just couldnt get over the price, I personnaly cannot even conceive they sell a 1000$ rifle with such a gap between the handgrip and trigger guard, but I'm just a little picky

There is a company in Edmonton that make .22s that look like MP5s. They have the same weight but take 10/22 mags. I wish I could remember their name.
FYI their guns are around $1000+ IIRC.
They look great and have a few difference designs but aren't cheap!
I hope someone can post a link to the company I'm thinking of.

Specter arms.

To answer a couple of years old thread, someone did build an mp5 10/22 kit. Here it is. I still shoot that gun when I have a chance.

I find it funny that if we make a 22lr look like a black rifle with after market stocks it is not a variant but if the manufacturer make a 22lr look like a black rifle it is a variant
