Best 9mm ammo for a new shooter.....................

I've just acquired a Glock 17 and would like to start target shooting at the local clubs.
What’s the best 9mm ammo to start with? (weight, brand, etc.)

The cheapest non reloaded ammo you can find. This will ensure you get lots of trigger time with your new purchase. Once you're proficient with your pistol, start working on finding what shoots the best groups.

Blazer Aluminum cased works great in Glock. If you're new, you need lots of trigger time, and this is the cheapest way other than reloading.
 
Save up your brass for when you'll start reloading! If you don't think it's something you'll ever doing than look for cheap steel or aluminum cased ammo. At this point practice will be more beneficial than a small difference in ammo accuracy; 95% of the time it's the shooter.
 
white ammo refers to Winchester, it comes in a very particular white box. It is the cheapest, very dirty. It is very common in the states, not so common here but common, specially in 9mm.
For a couple dollars more you can shoot Blazer Brass and keep the brass, which is good brass.

Bottom line, the best ammo is the ammo you make. Reloading for 9mm is very easy, fool proof and you will always have ammo in hand. I end up loading 45 min before going to the range, load 200 rounds and go shooting.
That way you don't have to worry about buying ammo.

My glock shoots the worst with 124, and I don't really notice a difference between 115 and 147.

If you are new to pistol shooting, however, I don't think you will be able to notice the small differences from bullet weight yet. Especially with a glock.

All joking aside proble any brass 124gn or higher stay away from +p and +p+ till you get some more experience and save your brass you can sell it or reload it down the line
