It's Krylon Time!! Now with photos.

you didnt do the top handguard??

i have a mischievous streak in me and after seeing this i cant help but think that it would fun to snag my dads M305 next time he's out and paint it hot pink with a purple with yellow polkdot handguard, hahahaha!
maybe stencil a hello kitty on the butt?

I had an OD Scout Handguard sent to a friends. We're doing the M14 Clinic in Trenton in two weeks. I'm going to wait to tighten the op rod guide, then put the SHG on, and mount and zero my Aimpoint PRO. I found an OD cover for the scope on Ebay for $10, shipping included. Not the BEST fit, but $10, it will more than accomplish the task of keeping the scope as blemish free as possible. Plus, it's OD!

Before painting my stock, I read some articles about it. On a few occasions, I've read about avoiding rubber when painting. Something about drying the rubber. I'm no expert on this, but it makes some sense to me.

Great job, has anyone ever used krylon on rubber?,,I have a remmy 700 with the hogue rubber insert stock...black and grey one,,anyways,,this will be my first firearms paint project ,in OD green,,but I'm not sure if I can paint rubber or just keep it and tape it off.then on to the t97',which I kinda wanna do in multi cam,but that might be too busy.

Hmmm, does make sense, whatever drying chemical most likely can't be good for it,,,for now I will use and do green, leave the rubber inserts, thanx fer the tip,I'll post pics when done.
