He is not apologizing for reporting this issue to the RCMP, he would do it again. He is apologizing to those affected who might lose 3-4 thousand $$ and their previously lawful firearm, the apology changes what for them? Nothing IMO. He says; "It was never my intention to cause such distress to the firearm Community, however the damage is done!"
Sooo move on? This has likely hurt his business, this is a business saving move and that is all.

Yeah, I don't get this Kumbaya-fest for JR. He fvcked up, he's owning up but that doesn't make him a hero or role model. As someone earlier pointed out, he's a useful idiot and if I were a SAN owner I would seriously be looking at civil action against him.
Having said that this is a much bigger fight and it was regrettable that he gave the gun grabbers a "freebie". The RCMP are going full court press against us and we need to focus. So drop the love-fest for JR or suspend your anger for now. Let's get to the battle at hand.

unless he's pulling out 100,000 $ to help the NFA's court's actions,i don't buy his croc tears. if the swiss arm reclassification has happened, it's in great part because of him.
Like I said earlier, I just do not get the TSE/JR love fest on this forum. I will never forgive his actions or ever grace his business again. People are criticizing commenters for saying it is personal, well guess what, when I am out $3000 dollars for a petty act caused by a member of the firearms community, it is personal!

I think that JR is what is called a "useful idiot" by some but he's not the one "inventing" gun laws!
The RCMP is way out of line on this issue and it's about time that the Parliament
stand up and puts the RCMP back to its proper role: the enforcer of Canada's laws.
Canada needs more Law, Order and Good Government (and fewer idiots)!

The very people that helped him get the Swiss arms into Canada back in 2001, are the same who helped The Shooting Centre develop their .308 Swiss arms variant. JR buying one and sending it to the RCMP and convincing them it's a prohib, didn't get him one up on the Shooting Centre, but bit him in the ass.
Like he cares, he has his prohib license.
His selfishness and pride just made the gun community take a huge hit at out expense.

He said he has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars for gun rights. I'm curious how much he has, or is in the process of donating for this specific matter (not including all the money he is paying his lawyer to try to save his image)
Is it too much to assume that for the RCMP/Government to say to seek compensation from the dealers/importers on the matter of the SA rifles it appears that they have delegated blame in this matter already?
Making a speach is one thing but making the paperwork available to everyone effected so they can have their own lawyer advise them on the best way to handle their clients current situation is two very different things.

Forget the lawyer saving his image. This video will be used against him in any civil suite for compensation by individuals that lose their Swiss Arms as a result of him starting this entire fiasco.
He should've had the berries to post this video himself instead of having someone else do it for him. I have no sympathy for him.

I personally decided to never support him after the BS he pulled with the Red Deer Shooting centre and domain names. Now I go out of my way to let people know to avoid the place.

I wouldn't say that as I too would have to write out an appropriate statement instead of trying to wing it.
I just don't think he deserves forgiveness for what he's done.
All I can think of is Bill Clinton saying he was sorry for getting a BJ from Monica. Sorry he got caught. In my opinion, after reading as much of the information posted from both dealers, Mr. Cox is the second biggest Douche nozzle in the country right now. Very poorly played sir.
