$500 Auto Loaders vs. $1000 Auto Loaders, What's The Difference? **UPDATED**

I'm pretty sure that the only shells I have seen used at the ranges that I go to are the $30 boxes of Federal or Winchester bulk 100 packs.

I'll agree with the Stoeger 3000/3500 amazing gun. I love mine never missed a beat and i use it for trap and hunting . Best autoloader for the money. Plus u won't b scared to scratch it or get it dirty in the field. Cleaned mine twice thru out last year's waterfowl season and it just keep going light and heavy loads. And it comes with 4 chokes including a turkey. Can't go wrong with this gun... As for your 3.5 needed for geese comment. I always use 3" and it drops them no problem and my buddy that i hunt with as a old remington 1100 that's only 2 3/4 and he drops them just as good as the 3". Including some pretty impressive long shot I've seen him do.. But if u do decide to go with the Stoeger I doubt u would b disappointed.
That's not a very good deal. It sounds like Canadian Tire prices. Go to a gun store where you will see prices of $52 for 250 rounds.
Around here (Nova Scotia) the gun store prices are more than double what Canadian Tire sells them for... We have two types of gun stores here, Crappy & Over Priced.
Where are you finding ammo at that price? Challenger is pretty much the cheapest you'll find in Canada and it's costing us just over $62 per flat(250) delivered from the factory. Even last year's price was $56/flat direct.

Andrew, I know you're after a 12 gauge, I wrote about my Weatherby SA-08 20 gauge because in 12 gauges I only own an Ithaca M37 and 870.
The SA-08 has been smooth and flawless, and I've read similar things about the PA-08 which is the 12 gauge version. The Turks basically copied the Beretta 3 series shotgun, and Weatherby made sure the details were right and the QC was solid. The Beretta has a long record of solid durability in
the dove fields of Argentina, along with Benellis. Since the SA-08 hasn't been around for a long time, if you don't find enough material online about it's reliability and durability, I'd suggest gleaning some information about the Beretta it's copied from. I know almost invariably you get what you pay for, but I think in this case the cheap labour and production costs in Turkey and the oversight and QC from Weatherby have combined to create a very solid semi auto shotgun for the money. Me to. Last year here in Winnipeg you could get Fedeal or Winchester target loads for $65.00 (plus tax) per case of 250 rounds. Don't know what it is this year.
Gun room in NB still sells those plus the rem gun club for 60 and tax. Andrew worth a trip to stock up if you have never been there. To me the closest we have to Epps down east

I think 3macs was referring to the gun dealer . and it is worth a trip if you have never been there . last year they were selling federal flat for $ 55.00 plus tax. I haven't check with Ross to see what this years price will be .

The PA-08 is the pump action Weatherby. The semi 12ga is also called the SA-08.
I recently got a Mossberg 930, I've put a couple hundred rounds through it so far with a very little break in period. Shoots fine so far.
Interesting! The cheapest that TopGun stuff has been at the Edmonton WSS locations in the last 2 years was $62.99...and if I'm not mistaken it's now up to $69.99 before tax. Only reason I was buying it was to get the pink hulls so I could re-use them to whip up some light loads for a couple of girls.
If I remember correctly , the case I got from WSS was a canadian theme. Each 25rd box had a maple leaf on it and the shells were mixed red and white. Ps: do they really have different prices across the country?
