Right! There aren't many firearm owner realize that they become a criminal since Thursday.

I went to my club today and realized that wasn't many firearm owners aware what has been going on since Wednesday. I talked to couple gentlemen regarding SA/CZ858 reclassification and seems they have no clue about it. Coincidently, a gentlemen who two lane from my left was shooting his CZ 858 rifle. I approach him and discuses the situation but he said "My gun is completely legal. I brought it about a years ago and it is non restricted. What are you talking about? I have't received any letter regarding the CZ/SA reclassification.". I explained to him that he is owning a prohibited firearm and had became a criminal since Friday. His face just told me he was so lost.

I suggest everyone here discuss these matter with anyone you know who is firearm owner. Share the information and encourage them to come to CGN for more information.

Good point. I am sure the various clubs are represented in CGN. The executives, if not being done already, should be putting a plan together to communicate the news and to give instructions on what they can do to help - contact MP, PM and Minister.

If you are a member and have not receive this communication from your club, call and let them know.

I may get in trouble for it but I will say it again.

I don't care what the morons involved 'decide'. I am sick of this and if we roll over on this and let these people think they can tell us what we can and can't own - we are going to end up like the Brits.

The response from the gun community should be three words:

GO

F***

YOURSELVES

Boys, this isn't about crime or guns. It's about control. Even the Fudds can't deny it any more. I'm sorry, but the law belongs to we the people, not they the politicians and the cops.

The message from both bureaucrat and firearm lobbyist are not spread wide enough The people who own CZ/SA might not a member of CGN or internet lurker. Sone people might live in the rural area. How they can get informed?

I suggest NFA/CSSA can put up a notice about this incident on every club and local gun shop. Make sure every firearm owners came through the door are noticed. Talk about it and encourage them to support our lobbyist and make a donation. As a online vendor, they should put a big red message on their main page and refer them to CGN, CSSA or NFA for further information.

No one is safe here until C-68 are repelled.

Don't own anything affected. Still re-upped for a 5 year stint with a healthy donation on top.
I'm not a good activist or debater; that's why I pay ( through membership / donations )a more apt individual to speak for me.
And the affected ( and outraged ) folks are right, they will not stop there.
Good luck, go get 'em

Stunned morons like this piss me off and are the reason firearms owners are a closet community in this country.

I was at a meeting of my local club last night and I'd guess there to be a minimum of 300 people there. When the reclassification issue was brought up, a question was put to the crowd through a show of hands how many individuals were members of the NFA and/or CSSA. I raised my hand and looked around only to find I was in the company of 15-20% of the room...

I was both shocked and disgusted.

I can't believe that people who spend the $$ on a firearms licensing course and won't hesitate to drop thousands on a piece of kit refuse to cough up a measly $35 for an NFA membership to defend the thousands they just spent. These are the same daft Darwin candidates that go out and drop $20K on a motorcycle, buy the cheapest as$ helmet they can and ride around in their T-shirt, shorts and sandals.

Anyone putting on a Firearms Safety Course should require that anyone seeking to gain admittance to the course first show their NFA membership card. If every firearm owner in this country would spend the cost of one box of magnum rifle ammo on an annual membership we would be able to get much more done, much faster and scream louder.

Any gun owner in this country that isn't a member of at least one group pledging to defend their rights as shooters and citizens should have their certificate of sanity and man-card revoked.

How about this:

Any gun owner in this country that isn't pledging to defend their rights as shooters and citizens should have their certificate of sanity and man-card revoked.

I'm capable of representing myself, thanks. I spend a lot of time writing to my elected representatives and senators on this issue. For someone who enthusiastically supports the rights of "shooters and citizens," you're awfully quick to level what amounts to an involuntary NFA tax on new shooters.

I support the NFA. But if ANY organization is eager to take my money and protect my democratic rights, it had better be prepared for my right to exercise those same democratic rights in choosing whether I stay or leave.

Also, If NFA wants more members, trolling us on Facebook with vague murmurs of big changes to the CFO regime a few months ago was not the way to go. That was very irritating.

Our club is 100% CSSA - membership is mandatory, includes liability insurance. You should press your club to go the same route, whether it is NFA or CSSA. It covers them for hunting accidents as well.
