Of the current offerings only the RSI Bob is attractive to me... if the 9.3 had been a 74R rather than the 62, my order would already be in.
I would gladly take one RSI in .22 Hornet & another in .375 Winchester.
Ruger should have a Custom Shop set-up like Remington, but without the
big price gouge and long waiting time on orders.
One can dream eh?![]()

They made a 9.3x74R #1 a few years ago. I had one, and only let it go in part trade for a double...in the same chambering. The only fly on that gun was the 24-inch barrel...if it came with a 26-inch tube, I'd probably never have been able to part with it.
Have you checked the new prices on #1's? It seems like they bypassed the custom shop options, and just jumped straight to custom shop prices. I've always been impressed by the #1, and thought they were inexpensive for what they delivered. I guess Ruger thought they were too, and they fixed it.

A Handi in 9.3x74R? That must be a handful (no pun intended). Like the 500 S&W.I know they made it, and I have been looking for one since. I got tired of waiting last year and stubbed a Handi rifle in 9.3X74R... but I am still watching for the No.1 version.

Nah, I totally see the attraction of 500 S&W. Just imagine a lever gun in it! Surely anything strong enough for 44 Magnum or 454 Casull could manage the 500.

There's a technical term for a Handi in 45/120.........MENTAL!!My Handi in .45/120 has more wallop than the 9.3X74R... handles it without any problem...

Seriously though, how hot do you load it - old lever gun (~30,000psi), modern lever gun (up to 45,000psi) or Modern (50,000-55,000psi)?![]()
just ordered one in 300 h&h magnum. be here next week.
Or perhaps a bruise "dark blue" or "light purple" person......My loads would be considered "heavy lever" loads or "soft Ruger No.1" loads... depends if you are a "cup half empty" or "cup half full" person...
