Here is a tableful of old warriors I posted in the Milsurp Forum last year:

Ahhhhhh. Why, thank you! Seeing as how you're offering, I'll have the Enfield, the Springfield and the Garand! They will make excellent gifts! :)

I have a question though fellers: see on the Springfield and the Garand on the left - right up front they have what looks like a second sling swivel with a piece cut out of it. Why did they do that?

It's called a stacking swivel. They were used to keep the rifles out of the mud when they weren't being used I think. You can hook 3 together and make a tripod so they all remain upright attached to one another.

Nothing wrong with norinco's, they just need a little tweaking. Remember, your comparing a 400$ rifle to a 1500$ rifle. There are obvious reasons why the sprinfield is superior to the norinco but don't hate on something that will a little work, is just comparable.

No hate intended. I've met many with Norcs and vast majority love them. Me being a perfectionist and a desire to keep the $ I spend in North American economy or at least one with a democracy and human rights laws... I could not buy one. Came close though. The day that china starts trading fairly with the west and adopts human rights views, I may start buying their products. I go as far as seeking out North American made work clothes and boots, something I take great pride in.

I was thinking "Curly" maple too..........bloody expensive tho.

Well I just got done fitting my new Boyds . Tiny bit of sanding and the thing is perfect, passes all tests. Just looks blahhhhhhhh compared to the ones above and no bloody use to me at all because I can only shoot with a pistol grip courtesy of a buggered thumb.

Makes a nice change from this though.
