This gun is very nice. Simple and clean.

The mag tube has since been sold as it was pluged with epoxy and usless to make the firearm compliance within the law, this is how it looks now with the standard mag tube, I think that installing the rail and sights make the whole 930 more practical and now would call it a true Home Defence shotgun.

When I had this done I searched everywhere in Canada for a SPX 930 and could not find one so went ahead with this rendition of it. The firearms name is Chopper!

Yippy-kai-aye...

Base: 12.5" Grizzly pump tube mag.
Stock and Forend: mid/early 80's (ish) Remington Security express.
Leather: Ukrainian leather bought off EBay (Buttstock shell holder/cheekpad, sling, bandoleer).
Other: Uncle Mike's QD swivel Sling/Stud on the buttstock.

Total Cost: $480 (including the bandoleer)

Thanks to frumpy for the deal on the wood.

I had to strip the wood, re-cut some of the grip lines on the forend, cleaned it up, a lot, and then gave it 5 coat rub of tung oil. Came out with a nice careworn look (used, but cared for).

Really impressed with the quality of the Ukrainian leather. I wasn't expecting much, given the cost, and was pleasantly surprised. The cheekpad (unseen on the other side of the stock) is nicely done with a suede cover.

Plan on using it to knock down gopher mounds in the early spring (when you can catch 4+ sticking their heads out of the same hole, why shoot more than once?) and as a bush carry for bear protection in the summer/fall.

My Mossberg 500.
I thought alot about what to do with it, I could have spent alot to dress it up but I just didnt see the point. I don't need to do any door breaching. I don't plan on clearing any rooms or sweeping any trenches. The only thing I might do to it from here is the magpul stock, it looks really functional and comfortable to me. Thats more my style as opposed to the AR style stock and pistol grips. It came with a pistol grip and it is painful to shoot it this way. I never use it.

7+1, 6x side saddle, cheap red dot, $17 canadian tire(2pack!) flashlight with strobe.
Strobe flashlights totally mess up your vision if you are unlucky enough to have one pointed at your eyes! Sometimes it wears a gel buttpad.

Simple, but effective.
