Yippy-kai-aye...
Base: 12.5" Grizzly pump tube mag.
Stock and Forend: mid/early 80's (ish) Remington Security express.
Leather: Ukrainian leather bought off EBay (Buttstock shell holder/cheekpad, sling, bandoleer).
Other: Uncle Mike's QD swivel Sling/Stud on the buttstock.
Total Cost: $480 (including the bandoleer)
Thanks to frumpy for the deal on the wood.
I had to strip the wood, re-cut some of the grip lines on the forend, cleaned it up, a lot, and then gave it 5 coat rub of tung oil. Came out with a nice careworn look (used, but cared for).
Really impressed with the quality of the Ukrainian leather. I wasn't expecting much, given the cost, and was pleasantly surprised. The cheekpad (unseen on the other side of the stock) is nicely done with a suede cover.
Plan on using it to knock down gopher mounds in the early spring (when you can catch 4+ sticking their heads out of the same hole, why shoot more than once?) and as a bush carry for bear protection in the summer/fall.
