Do I really need a .375 H&H ?

It's probably something I should consider, rather than 'gently' cramming them in as there is another row behind those in front, in both safes. Or,;)another safe, just to handle the overloadLaugh2.

It works pretty good for me. There is at least 50 guns in this one safe.

Hey BongoBob,
Did you shoot that thing yet? Mine seems to be coming in at 1 1/4" right out of the gate, with 270 grain A-Frames and IMR4350. I've got half of the blueing shot out of the barrel already.:D

A question for guys like yourself and Douglas who've had extensive field experience with the 375's. What would be your preferences be in bullet makes and weights for possible use on North American game and generally for some accuracy paper punching? I have a Winchester model 70 Super Express that should be arriving early next week that I'm prepping for. I do have a small/limited selection available to start with that is comprised of, Speer 270gr SPBT, Sierra 250gr SBT and some 300gr Hornady in their RN and some of the same weight in BTSP.

TJ Sudbury - nice arrangement - I have used the same setup in the past with a couple of bars and padlocks etc.. and a "goldenrod" - But personally .. I would store those solvents in a separate area though. I have had bad experience with some aerosols cans leaking and the gas causing some plastics, foam, rubber to decompose. Not saying your chemicals may cause it but better "safe" than sorry ... fwiw

Well,;) my 'latest' arrived this morning:D. A Winchester M-70 Super Express in 375 H&H.

A perfect match to the Super Express I have in .458 WM. A band of brothers?

And, ;)a 'Moosie' photo for Looky:).

I haven't shot it yet but it's in like new condition, even better than the seller stated. Thank you pitchedlink.
A tried, true and proven calibre from days past and still a star these days. If I was going to go for something in 375 that was more of todays technology, I definately;) 'LIKE' the looks of Super Cubs 375CT.

Looks good, even if the mixed feeding systems makes them half brothers.

Shhh ;). Question for guys with experience like yourself and c-fbmi. With the possibility of some use in the field and paper punching, what would be your recommendations be for a make and weight of bullet? I have a limited and small selection to start with, from when I had a Ruger No. 1 and from some reloading I did for my Daughter and Son In Law.
  • Speer 270gr SPBT
  • Sierra 250gr SBT
  • Hornady 300gr RN Interlock
  • Hornady 300gr BTSP.
Also have some coming in within the next few days in 300gr from Matrix.

Its been said that if a .375 H&H won't shoot a 300 grain Hornady roundnose over a charge of W760 (or H414) it won't shoot anything. For a less expensive paper punching and plinking bullet that's been my choice. For hunting I've done mostly 270 and 300 grain TSXs before moving to 270 grain A-Frames and staying there.

Pretty sweet there Johnn.
The fluff fur mewsie on the left with that Horsefly B.C. hat on
sure brought back some memories when I was young.
We use to go into a lake in that area that got us some stuck.
By George the fishing was great though.
