IPSC shotgun choice question

I ordered a +4 extension from cactus, i assured my order was under 100$, and they just sent me a shipping notice without asking for paperwork. For 100$ i got extension, spring, and upgrade follower. Will get mag/barrel clamp on my next brownells order.
Lets just be clear i did not receive my stuff yet, i may end up getting clocked hard on duty or whatever.

I estimate my +4 will stick out pass the barrel, not much but a bit. I will be able to load to ipsc maximum of 8+1, or so i have read...

My +4 is shy of the muzzle on my 24" Supernova, by about an inch.

I have the Nordic extension and it is short of my 24"inch barrel by an inch. Also, I can get 9+1 in of target load shells. 00 or slug I get 8+1. In IPSC you can only start with 9 total in your gun anyways.

The SuperNova is a great choice becuase you don't have to fight the lifter the whole time.

I have the SuperNova with the pistol grip. I saw one of them up on the EE not too long ago. I am really happy with mine. The only warning I would give you is that with the pistol grip it may be difficult to load 2 ro 4 at a time with your strong hand. I load weak hand so it is not an issue.

I wouldn't buy and caddies until you have tried a few and decided what you like. They are pretty expensive and you don;t want to buy something you may regret later.

I was lucky somebody lent me a bunch of differnet types prior to the first shotgun match and I picked the type I liked best.

My extension sticks out a good 6-8" PAST the muzzle on my gun....besides some powder residue on the extension, its not causing any problems.

Received the parts today. Came up to 120$US shipping included, plus a 26$ Duty fees, Cactus Tactical
+4 Extension tube, new follower and spring

Mounted on shotgun, mag/barrel clamp on it's way from Brownells.
So this is now my beginners IPSC shotgun, capacity 8+1

Do you have one of those clamp to fix the tube to the barrel? Not sure what they're called, I assume a barrel clamp.

Just curious to see how far out you can go before you need one.

Yes...I use a barrel clamp. It helps mostly with my slugs (they are right on at 50m...POA=POI)

PLus....with a really long extension, it provides extra support

What about a Valtro pump with 7 shot mags??
would that be a good setup?

Always depends what you want and what you are looking to do with it.
I want a shotgun to compete ipsc in standard manual division, which is where most people compete in ON
Detachable mags classes you in open

Probably, i logged in IPSC ON website and looked at 5-6 random shotgun matches in areas accessible to me, it seemed the standard manual had a lot of entries.
Seen a good quantity for standard too, it seemed like manual was a bit more predominant.

Just a little bit of information
I have read many posts on US forums, and from my point of view the carbon arms SSL backbone seemed like the popular/one of the best choices out there.
I will want to twin load, and have 16 rounds in front of me. For this to happen i had to use 3x AP customs systems (from a CDN retailer). With carbon arms there's the backbone system which seems to have it all in 1 package.
I reasearched enough canadian sites until i got fed up and called carbon arms, since you can't chose Canada in their shipping options.
They ship to Canada on phone orders only, and we're quite easy to deal with, waiting for product as it'S in the mail.

Had already asked, if not on his website 3+months delay between each carbon arms orders, and the system he has was not the system i wanted

Edit : I have to mention that Redtip answers to customers real quick and helpfully, i just had my mind stuck on the backbone system
