Hunter and shooting courses

I am new to this forum and to hunting. I terms of hunting, I have read all I can but am still spinning my wheels ... there is a lot of practical skills to learn. The experienced hunters in my area are not keen to go out with a noob ... I can understand that. Does anyone know of any new hunter training courses in the BC lower mainland? Just want to get out in the field for a few days and start to learn the foundation skills hands on. Thanks
 
Hi. No such thing that I've ever heard of, anywhere. Suggest you join a shooting club. You need to learn to shoot and sight your rifle in anyway and being a club member opens a lot of doors. Likely not immediately, but you will eventually be invited to go hunting. And the other shooters will bend over backwards to help you, including letting you shoot their rifles. Shooters are just like that.
 
Check out eatwild in Vancouver. I took my core with them last year and enjoyed it. They offer a two day course for new hunters.
 
Anyone know if a shooting course - long range - in New Brunswick?
I really would like to get the knowledge in practice and nail down the calculation portion down before I commit to spending 2K.
