I saw some of these for sale, 30 round body crimped to 10 and labelled as LAR15 pistol. Fellow said they did not need RCMP approval as they met the criteria as pistol mags as spelled outby law. I was under the impression no 30 round forms had rcmp approval. Are these good to go or the theory just not tested in court yet?

This will get interesting in a hurry. You just can't stamp LAR Pistol on any old mag and call it a 10rnd pistol mag...

Ok to summarize that thread, no not advisable, buy ATRS mags instead! Jeez why complicate things when you have a nice polymer high quality 10 round mag being sold by alberta tactical rifle

Yep. I kind of figured that when I heard the spiel at the HACS show. Saying the RCMP did not need to approve them scared me off. I'm not interested in being a legal guinea pig.

I own 10 atrs mags, you really cant go wrong with them, alberta tactical is supposedly getting a new batch from Israel in April-May. I would seriously wait for those if i were you.
If its for a tavor hey do need filing though... Hard to explain...

Plus you can get a mag coupler and 2 of the ASC 10 rounders from Questar for the same price...doesn't seem worth it to me
