The problem with that I see is that it is the higher ups that want to see every gun out of civilian hands, how do we fix this without having the government dismantle the RCMP and start over with new elected officials in charge of the organisation?
I would also like to see a performance clause in provincial contracts to ensure proper outside oversight and complete transparancy guidlines are met with each provinces needs/requirements. Different provinces/cities need different kinds of policing and it is about time we civilian taxpayers get what we are paying for rather than being told what we want and get by the RCMP and other crown entities.
Our government needs to stop screwing around. Getting rid of the firearms act and deregulating firearms would go a long way to curing the culture issues at the top of the RCMP. After that, it will take time and repetition to address the remaining issues.

Get back on track and quick hijacking the thread. JR presented the challenge and I answered it.
I think JR acted with due diligence. He spotted what appeared to be a full auto receiver and pointed it out. Eventually there would have been an issue. Those of you in the lynch mob need to understand that it's exactly this kind of behavior that hurts our cause. While some of us are accused of not being united I won't associate with a bunch of Vancouver hockey fans. Maybe it's your attitude that needs to change.

so which of the 3 serial numbered rifles Cox submitted are on the RCMP documentation as being the converted auto/variant of the 550? what was the last communication from the RCMP before we arrived at an entire ban of the swiss arms rifles? What part of the information or rifle changed since it was inspected by the RCMP 12 or so years ago that caused this problem?

As someone who purchased what I was told was your personal rifle (swiss arms sniper) through the royal sportsman in Burnaby BC many years ago I expect much more information from you than the silence you continue to have on this matter when questions are asked in your own section on this forum.

Alright JR Cox fan boys tell me this.........
How can you congratulate a man who sold tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in rifles to Canadian citizens and then deliberately and intentionally brought to the attention a batch of " converted auto " Swiss Arms rifle to the RCMP firearms lab thinking that the RCMP would only go after those rifles in question and not the entire lot already in the country. In the end potentially costing his customers and other retailers/distributors customers to lose Millions of dollars because he finked on his competitor.
Yet here he is posting a video admitting fault then asking forgiveness and you give it to him so willingly and congratulate him for doing so. Does this mean a criminal brought before a judge should be released of his responsibility because he apologizes? Hypocrisy at its best is all I have to say about those that choose to defend JR Cox and commend him on his actions. He sold out his countrymen for the mighty dollar and his dim witted business sense and as is such he deserves a lot more than a " kick in the nuts ". He challenged the keyboard warriors that they wouldn't have the balls to say or do anything to his face. I answered that challenge and he has yet to accept it.
This would have come to light eventually? Please tell me where I can pick up one of your crystal balls that tell the future. You speak of how he expressed due diligence in his actions because the laws are the law but at the same time talk of unity to fight and change those BS laws you seem to want to uphold.
Stand up and grow a pair. Don't support hypocrisy and people that would use their own misguided intentions to do harm to us and our future.

I live in Calgary the and was a member at TSE for 3 years. Jr runs a terrible business that takes advantage of customers and the facility is falling apart and nothing ever is stocked. The store has final sale policy on everything and prices way to high. if u like shooting try a different club in Calgary. This issue has already cost me thousands. I bet I have done more than him and I didn't cause this in the first place
