So I am definately a newb and just purchased my first AR last week from you guys. I am VERY excited and like a kid at xmas, I just cant wait. Being that this is my first firearm purchase and we are dealing with the government, what is the "usual" amount of time for transfers to take place once you guys have started the paperwork (I received an email from your shop)

Thanks for the awesome service so far and I cant wait to get my hands on it!

M :)

Since the recent RCMP drama, they seemed to have slowed down their approval time dramatically. At least it seems like it, the last couple of transfers I have done are taking way too long as compared to usual.

SK took 1 day for transfer. Call and get the reference number from CFC and email address for CFO and email them your range membership card it will speed up the process.

thanks, I will. I am in AB but gun is obviously coming from Manitoba

My AR was 8 days from order to in my hands, daughter bought 9mm ruger on Saturday and phoned and got transfer done today, called store and they are shipping it in the morning. I'm in BC.

In sask, in store, about 20min for restricted transfer with statt, purchases from marstar to sask about a month,
Canam to sask the last 2 restricteds were approved within a day of request, but actual processing
And shipping was 2 full weeks.
Just saying with my experiences here in Sask.

Right on.... thanks for the info.... like I said, I am itching to get it in my hands! The good folks at Wolverine will be shipping it to me once the transfer is done, so I am sure all will go well! This nice weather in Edmonton doesn't help my patience either!

If your in Alberta as soon as you get your Ref ID and call if your very nice will get it right away. Last one I got I had on the fax machine as soon as I hung up. Not sure what happens if your rude though.

I'm from ontario last restricted purchase made few weeks ago on friday walked out of the store on monday

Do I have to call the CFO or will it just speed things up if I do? I am working nights right now so I may have to wake up a little early if I have to call their office.

I'm in ON, Last restricted I bought 3 weeks ago, I purchased the firearm Friday afternoon at 15:00, they called me Saturday morning at 9 am the paperwork is done, come and get it.

If it goes past the 7 business day mark I would suggest calling and *politely* inquiring about the status. No need to be rude.... If it continues to drag on inquire again but be more firm about it (again there is no need to be rude...).

Remember that transfer times vary by province and the time of year ( Christmas, summer time etc) will affect it as well.

Essentially its 1 hour if you are very lucky to 1 month if you are very unlucky, and anywhere in between, this is just from what I have heard. I just bought a restricted off the EE and it only took a wk and a half, pretty good. I have been told it takes a little longer if it is a private sale rather than a sale from a store or registered dealer... but I've only bought 2 so what do I know.
