I decided to try my hand at some customizing. Not that the gun needed to be, I just love to
Modify things. This all took about 10 hours of fitting all the parts and making them run smooth. Trigger pull went down to about 3.5lbs, and is super crisp. All blued parts have been replaced with stainless ones, and upgraded all internals. Here's a list;
Nowlin oversize barrel bushing
Ed brown 2 piece guide rod
Ed brown match trigger
Ed brown extended mag release
Ed brown firing pin
Ed brown firing pin stop (took a lot of fitting)
Ed brown firing pin spring
Ed brown sear spring
Ed brown disonnector
Nowlin sear
Nowlin 19.5lbs main spring
Wilson combat 30lpi main spring housing
Wilson combat ultralight hammer
Wilson combat extended slide release
Wilson combat right handed extended thumb safety
Wilson combat grip screws
Wilson combat 8rd magazine
Hogue wood grips

The only parts that are still norinco are the frame, slide, recoil spring, extractor and grip safety. All parts that weren't replaced were polished. Took a lot of elbow grease! Let me know what you guys think!

The gun was about 350$, all the parts were just over 300$. I did 100% of the labour, so total cost is 650$. The barell is still the stock norinco one. I have to take it to the range this weekend and make 100% sure everything functions reliably. Then going to do final finishing and polishing.

Does the hard chrome finish polish up?

Thanks for the support guys! Since this is my very first 1911, I'm sure I overlooked a few things. If there is anything that you see I did wrong, missed, or can improve please let me know!
