Man behind the picture....

So I have a norinco t97 that I'm trying to put a angled fore arm on it... And need advice..on the t97.ca webpage their very first pic has one in front of a wood pile..it also carries a trs25 and the ftu...my guess is you used a small picatinny rail piece and then a riser to fit it the way you did..does anyone have a guess how he did it,I'm also guessing he drilled thru the hash marked grip and not the flatter angled plastic just before barrel...anyway if someone here could help I sure would appreciate it...cheers. And...if the man behind the picture has time to explain that would be the ticket....
