Damage to SR1911 frame?

Well I mailed it to Snapshots today. Waiting for the Ruger rep to tell me if they have a replacement at their Canadian distributor. If not, they said I will need to wait until the next order comes to Canada, and that can be a very long time.
So I'm hoping they have one for me!
 
None in stock, I will have to wait for the order. They said it should be shipped out sometime in February. Then who knows how long it will take after that to get it! Got a feeling I will be waiting months.
 
Actually turns out Snapshot has brand new ones! No wait required :)
So I will be getting the whole thing, pouch, mags and all that good stuff.
 
So it's my first time going through something like this. So I know I need a STATT to bring it to the post office. Then do they register the new firearm with the RCMP as if I was buying from a business or is there some other process involved?

The Ruger Warranty Center/Location Snapshots will do the transfer for you.
 
Good on you for making the inquiry,... and good on Ruger for fixing you up. Not often that these warranty issues go that smooth.

Proof it never hurts to ask, ya never know. I would still grease em for some swag though, seeing as the hat is spoken for .....jacket :)
 
Transfer finished today and my new SR-1911 is shipping tomorrow. About time! :)
Ruger was awesome throughout this process. They are also refunding my shipping for sending the firearm to Snapshots.
