One broken finger nail later, my wife has decreed that a Maglula loader is mandatory! Who's got 'em?

Also, a front sight tool for the A2 square post.

I get a thousand front sight tools with each case of ammo I buy... Some people call it the 'Tip of the bullet.'

I got the Striplula from Zahal and the Maglula from Wolverine Supplies. Between the two I absolutely prefer the Maglula unless you happen to have .556 that already come in strips. The Maglula is as easy as the pistol one. I love it.

I bought a AR maglula, and honestly it just sits in the drawer. Loading 223 rounds doesnt take much effort as you just need to push down. Now, their pistol loader is about the greatest invention in history. I dont ever load my 9mm without it.

In general I agree with you. I use it when I load my mags before heading over to the range (saves me a couple of minutes) but I leave it at home. Now for pistol mags, their mag loader is the ultimate thumbsaver. Ordered one after doing my first 100rd shoot with the Shadow lol

For a 5 round mag, the maglula isn't a fantastic time saver. For a LAR 10 or Beo mag, I find it easier & faster to throw the rounds into the maglula than position and push down by hand.

I'll be quite happy to take your unused Maglula AR mag loader off your hands - at a firesale price, of course.

My wife may shoot CAS, IPSC, 'SASS 'Wild Bunch' and is a budding three gun shooter, but she is also a feminine woman who likes her finger nails. If your best shooting buddy was your wife, dambetcha you'd accommodate her.

I served twelve years Regular Army and loaded more 7.62mm FNC1 mags than most civilian shooters will in a lifetime. We had a useful device that slipped over the top of mags that enabled the insertion of a five round clip. There was a similar clip loading slot built right into the body cover of the C1/C2.

An Australian CO on an exchange visit to Canada gave our rod & gun club a presentation on the culling of kangaroos and feral horses and camels. They shot from helos with M-14's made semi only.
There were several pics of him and others in the crew sitting around the campfire loading BOXES of M-14 mags for the next day without any kind of loader. Their fingers were all wrapped in any kind of tape they could find!

So if it's alright with the macho types on the board, I'd like to equip my wife with a mag loader.

Don't listen to the macho types. I use a Maglula for my LAR mags. I like to save my fingers for the trigger. It's definitely worth having. The pistol version doubly so.

The only thing I don't like about the AR maglula is that you have to remove it to insert round #10 or it'll crimp round #9 while you try to squeeze in 10. But it's so fast I love it. Can't reload my hand fast enough to drop them in.

Haven't noticed it but will take a look with my next range trip being tonight or tomorrow
