New Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm: No spent casing?

When you guys purchased new Smith and Wesson guns in Canada did they come with spent casings? I just bought a M&P 9mm Range Kit and there wasn't one packaged with it. My Glock 17 and SR1911 both came with one. Just curious what everyone's experience with this is? Thanks

Its a stupid US law and has nothing to do with QC or something you should have with your new pistol

I'm aware of the whole US reasoning behind it. I'm just wondering if Smith simply doesn't send the Canadian guns up here with the spent casings.

Bought both my m&p 9 and m&p 22 last spring. There was one with the
22, but not in the 9.

It's not all that funny actually. Many M93s and M305s have been sold shorted mags. Where do you think they went?

My glock was the only pistol I've bought with a spent casing and testers name.

Its funny because you would need to sell 250 pistol just to get on free 500rd bag of brass or alloy casings

1. M&P 22 - contained spent casing
2. M&P 9 - Did not have the casing
3. Model 29-10 - contained the spent casing
