Last Friday I bought a Sig P226 in 9mm at the new Cabela's in Winnipeg and waited until this Friday to pick it up.
It was a long week.

Before I went to Cabela's, I head over to Wholesale Sports for some ammo, .45 snap caps and some Berger bullets for my brother.

They have about 30 different calibres of snap caps, but the .45's are the only ones that are sold out.
Crap.

I ask for 9mm ammo because it's behind the counter, but I forget to take it with me to the till.
Crap.

I forget to ask for the Berger bullets, which are also behind the counter.
Crap.

I look over the handguns in stock, and I'm a little disappionted. I was hoping to see one of the Norinco NP-22 Sig clones to compare to my new purhase, or maybe a XD, even though I can't stand the way they look. There's a few 1911s in 22, a Glock, a Desert Eagle, etc.

Then something catches my eye.

I buy one.
Awsome.

Then I go to Cabela's and return the Sig. :cool:

P.S.
I think they just got the 2 Brownings in yesterday, so get down there quick!

Lol:) He's referring to a joke about the fact that every time a dog see's a squirrel, it's attention is totally captured, and it forgets about everything else around. Sounds like a good squirrel moment though :)

Okay lol

Yeah, for about 1 minute I thought about keeping the Sig, but I would be spending about $2200 on guns in 8 days, which almost made me sick to my stomach.

Pfffft...a single-action classic BHP beats a 9mm DA Sig any day. The OPs man card is fully up to snuff in my view...and I say this as a Sig enthusiast myself.

The only Sig that absolutely beats a Hi-Power is a P227 in .45ACP...like mine!
 
Cool! See you at the Monday shoots when Walt starts them up again? Haven't been to one in quite a while. I should have a new Walther PPX in the mail tomorrow.
Sig Elite is still on the list of pistols to obtain but all these other deals keep popping up and robbing my savings account!

I havn't gone to a single one... except the time I brought my rifle to the range and everyone was like what?!
I'm not really a competitive person anyway.

Did Jesus try a Glock? Naahhh I ain't going there.
However there are some odd folks at Stbh gun range. It's pretty bad when I tell "them"to put some muffs on and even offer them free plugs, and they giggle at me! Until they realize what a muzzle brake is for, and they're running with ears covered...lol.
Frankly I hate competitions, shake like a sob, hence my name.
