i used the 160 gr ftx -mx bullet for my 308 and worked just fine so i found a load in the hornandy book for 30/30 so i decided too try it . when i seated the bullet to the ring the over all length was still to long for the oal, in the data it says the bullet is ftx and the one i had was ftx mx is there a difference in these 2 bullets....hound13

i got the manual the numbers didnt match but the almost look the same im going to try and get the right ones hound13
I accidentally bought some of the 308MX FTX bullets when I was trying to get some for a .30-30. I ended up loading them in .308 win ammo and they worked fine. Where way too long in a .30-30 case to feed in any .30-30 I know of.
