G17 what's the skinny

Lot of people don't like the 2x4 grip but I found it was the grip that help more control on the Glock over my CZ 75B. after I get used the trigger with my G17, I like it over my CZ and 1911 Norinco which both has way more lighter trigger.

I think GLOCK's are like Ping golf clubs, they seem workmanlike and bland thus causing one to possibly stray. In the end you realise that you already had one of best tools for your $ you can buy and end up going back, we can invent a new term "Glock sellers regret". I bet most that sell buy another, or used it to buy a higher end polymer gun like an H&K. GLOCK's are great but they are cheap to buy so I assume people don't sweat the idea that they may not be able to get another. Great gun, buy one then get a 19, 22,23.... you get the idea.
 
If you like the 17 but want to try something a bit different, the Glock 34 has been nothing but good to me, if you don't mind a longer slide (some accessories like holster's that fit can be bit harder to come by), then have a look. Super reliable, easy maintenance, 3000 rounds downrange so far without a failure.
 
Glocks are boring, probably the dullest, ugliest, most rudimentary guns ever made. If you view handguns as personal jewellery, you'll hang on to one for about 6 months before something that's shinier, ###ier and has a more romantic history comes along. If however you're a shooter, a Glock pistol is about as close to a sure thing as you'll ever get, light weight, well balanced, constant trigger, accurate, controllable and as reliable as the average hammer. It just comes down to how you view guns, and why you buy them.

:agree: and they all work great.
 
...and to think of all that time I spent on drills to clear "malfunctions" on my G17. It is so boringly reliable (just the way I like it).
