firearm indentification

Try to describe the markings on it.
Obviously posting a picture would help a lot.
Put in quotes “bolt action shotgun” in Google images search and you might be able to figure out what you have just from doing that.
I’m going to guess it is a Mossberg, but there are also H&R, Stevens, Springfield and other bolt action shotguns.

A Newfie buddy of mine hunts deer with a 12 gauge, 36" barrel Goose Gun, thing is huge.
Lots of them... Mossberg made them in 12, 20 & .410, and there was a cottage industry in Germany converting Mauser 98's into shotguns.

You are taking me way back here. When my dad passed there was a few old bolt action shotguns in the mix two of which if I recall correctly were 16ga 98 conversions
But there was two other which to this day I have no idea who made them. There was one in 16ga and a mint one in 12ga
Single shot only with a large thick head slotted screw and thick washer to remove the bolt
Three of these 4 are rebar now since they were in real bad condition so hopefully they are not collectors today
Any idea what the second two were this pic is exactly like the ones he had in 12 and 16ga

Think this is her twin but unfortunately no idea make and model nor did the owner that sold it state side. Close of auction it sold for 100 bucks if that helps Cheers

As far as I can tell from the slideshow, you may have an early1900's Belgian made gun.
But it could also be German after looking closer at the Black Forest style moulding on the butt plate.
Hopefully, you won't even think of torching off a shell in that puppy until it is positively checked out
for safe condition and even then only really light loads should be tried.
