Shortage of CCI ammunition

I'm wondering if anyone can help me out here. I'm from Northern Ontario sand every store I've gone to they don't have anymore CCI ammunition for my ruger 10/22. I'm just wondering if anyone knows the reason. I've been told a few things. They no longer ship to canada. Only working on military ammunution and the other is back ordered. I've heard different things from different dealers. I love going out plinking my 22 but need some ammo.

If no one has any idea why there is a shortage of ammunition what would be my next best bet for ammo fir my ruger 10/22 lr.

My local Canadian tire store received an
Order of 40gr mini mags
I got 800 rounds of those.

They have bricks of Winchester dyna point which I hear
Are ok.
Federal bulk packs are showing up also

Be patient they are just back logged with orders
 
It's been tough to get here. I thought I was on a roll finding it at my local dealer, but he just told me everything I was buying was old stock from his distributor. :( Lots on order apparently, no ETA. I have a hard time imagining that demand in Canada has gone DOWN any, so why the lack of supply?

Would love to hear from a distributor, or a dealer "in the know".

I would guess that everything being produced is heading to US shelves, at least for a few seconds before it get snapped up. A lot of places still have a 2 box(50 rounds) limit per day/per person.

I tried the cci plus some Winchester super-x and others in my sons new to him ;0) cil 180 with peep sights, at 50 yards the cci std rn could be covered with a 50 cent piece and the super-x with a 20 dollar bill!! I want more cci standard great stuff!! Next time some shows up I am buying as much as I can afford! Saves so much time and money running around looking for it if you have a good stock.

That's what I've found leave the rest for plinking..
 
Shooters Choice in Kitchener has a good selection of CCI and prices are good. I bought a brick on Mini Mags on the weekend for $36 or so. They will ship. Al Simmons in Hamilton also has some in stock.

I would agree....is there anyone out there in the Ammo industry who knows the real truth in regards to these 22 shortages....there seems to be many different theories floating around....
