Norc M305 at Can Tire Saskatoon

I was trying to get into the back to have a look at the SKS's, but had no luck! I had a young fella helping me out who was very helpful, but tough to tell him everything to look for. One on display was a nice refurb, with blued bayo, and laminate stock for 179

Pimping out a Norc M14 is like pimping out an SKS's........ Joking, there is a TON of stuff to add to a NOrc that can make it shoot better, the biggest being "Sweat Equity"! Tighten everything up, Clean up the sharp edges, replace the Oprod Spring and Guide $50-100 depending on what you use. Pull the rear sights apart and clean and re grease and re assemble or replace with USGI $80-100, replace flash-hider and shim gas system if needed (from $100). Replace Stock (boyds 125 up to 1400 sage/BF/Troy). Doesn't matter what you do it's a great project gun! Or buy one with the nice wood stock if you can find out and just do the other fixes. I have 2 and love them. May pull the trigger on an M1a, JRA M14, Or LRB in the not too distant future or may wait awhile. Either way grab one and enjoy it for what it is, a great platform to learn on. You could be doing worse, Mallninjaing an SKS and making it shoot worse :)
