Hi.
So I just bought 500 rounds of 9mm Luger ammo, 124 grain, total metal jacket, for $159.50 plus taxes. I notice that Canada ammo has 750 rounds for $179.99. For $20 more doolars I could have had another 250 rounds!

The brand I bought is American Eagle. This is for a Berrata 92FS Inox. The book that came with the pistol warns against using reloads, higher power loads, and machine gun loads.

So, should I be careful of what type of ammo I feed the Berrata? Would it work just as well with the lower price Canada Ammo shells? What do you shoot? I know the Ruger MKIII I have does not like Winchester Super X. Is there some brands the Berrata will not like.

Thank you for any comments.

Kevin

the LCW 9mm from CanAm is steel cased, that's why its less expensive. Steel is cheaper to produce then Brass, meaning the final product has a lower price tag.

Berretta doesn't care as long as you feed it and kiss it good night.

Also note that some indoor shooting ranges might not allow LCW ammo... I purchased the 750round case and wasn't able to use at my local indoor shooting range.

Weird. Why wouldnt they allow LCW? Its only the casing that is steel. Anyway OP, your Beretta will be fine with the LCW.

I shot Wolf re-manufactured LRN through my Beretta with no problems at all.It is a very good pistol and will probably eat just about everything in 9mm..imo..

The CanAM LCW ammunition have a bi-metal coating on the bullet. A magnet will stick to it thus some gun range will prohib the use of this ammo.

I'm a fan of Wolf reloaded... ~240$ per 1000 @ SFRC.

Warning against using reloads is a U.S. lawyer's CYA thing. Too many frivolous law suits, Stateside, by idiots who can't follow simple directions. Even the really stupid claims require a defence that costs time and money.
There's no such thing as 9mm MG loads.
American Eagle is made by Federal. The only real downside to it is the brass is softer than other brands. Only means it doesn't last as long when reloading it. It'll be fine in your pistol though. Mind you, if you didn't try a box to see how well your pistol shoots it, you should have. If you're not reloading, you need to try a box of as many brands as you can to find the ammo your pistol shoots best. With a a .22 like your Ruger, the ammo has to shoot well and cycle the action. That doesn't normally apply to cf handguns. Most of 'em will cycle any factory ammo.
You buy your Berrata with doolars?

I remember buying 500 rounds of 9mm for $89 plus tax back before I started reloading in '05...but I never had any issues with ANY ammo in my 92INOX.

Buddy's dad had a 92fs, worked fine with everything except Blazer Brass 9mm.
For some reason, the Beretta jammed every single shot with the Blazer ammo, weird.

Hi.
Yes, I had run about 150 rounds of American Eagle through the Beretta before I purchased more.

At the present moment I had not considered reloading. So I am not too worried about the quality of the brass. I may have to consider it later.

Sonray, the Beretta was more expensive than a lot, but it fit the hand nicely.
