The thing with shell deflectors, is you need to drill and tap the receiver, or get one of those cheap receiver cover scope mounts to use it. and then you cant use stripper clips again.

That's the new premium grade KwikRail, by the way ... no screws, no welds.

You can tell its not made in china,,it fits to Good LOL. Really impressd. very sturdy, solid feeling. KwikPin is the cats meow...simply pull out the pin and lift the rail,..couldn't be faster or easier. 100% liking it.

I've gone with a choate mount and trs-25, I wanted to keep the open sights as backup and also have stripper clip capability. My new para model SKS will be with me early next week and i will report back on how I like the system. If the hornady sks factory ammo or handloads give me 2moa i MIGHT be tempted to get a shell deflector and mount a scope, but I doubt it. This rig is a SHTF rifle as well as medium range culling rig so it needs to have stripper clip capability. Nothing like surprising a rogue mob of feral goats when you are holding an SKS! Or a mob of wild turkeys....
