what model is yours?

I plan on using LED to replace the halogen

I bought mine about ten years ago, CQ6230A I bought mine from Machen Machine in Salmon Arm. Yes it's Chinese but it is strong and accurate. Only issues I've had with it was a leaking seal. Quick and easy fix


You will find the LED lamps wanting. They create a lot of shadow.

I lowered the overhead fluorescents by 18inches and now use a 14in x 4 lamp fluorescent on a flexible neck. I saw one of these on a professional machine in a commercial shop and really liked it. I picked up the unit at Princess Auto for $30 and it clamps onto the rear chip guard and is easily moved to where it is most needed.

$5900! That is a deal! I sold my old belt drive for $4500. It was used and didn't have as many features.

Maybe I need to save my pennies and buy another lathe.
