Hmm, that is interesting indeed.
Though, ARs don't benefit from this as much as other platforms would, but it is still a cool innovation. If it holds zero as well as it seems in the video that's pretty impressive.
Man...now I want to see if something like that DRD takedown rail would work for a boltgun like a Rem 700. Anyone want to crowdfund ATRS to make it?

Looks like you can have a 14.5 inch rifle break down into the size a 7.5 inch standard rifle would break down into.
Yeah I saw this video earlier.
I can't see this having value to the average owner.
Would need to be someone who really wants the smallest package possible and doesn't mind limiting their parts compatibility.
Granted, the possibility for quick caliber conversion is pretty neat.

Not that easily they arn't...
You need the proper wrench to take the barrel nut on off and trying to get the nut aligned properly with the gas tube is a pain.
I think the idea is to have a single upper, thus keeping the same optics without needing to swap them back and forth, and a single rail, but quickly switch out the barrels.
I guess it all depends on parts pricing and overall storage area. If you can save a few hundred bucks by nkt needing to buy four uppers, it could pay off.
