Classic stuff. Here's some examples from my 'early' 308 Norma Magnum Parker Hale days.
Pardon the quick photo but the price tag on the top two boxes are marked at $10.54 and $10.79 on the bottem one. Those were the days, and,
a lot things changed when we went metric.

Must be something in the air.... I had something eerily simmilar happen last night to me... And today I punched some holes in paper just to make sure it was not a dream
Gunna need some dies tho, $3.50 a bang is some expensive holes in paper :-D
I betcha I knows where there is a nice set of RCBS dies...............
Our local gunshop recently had some fancy BSA sporter rifle in .308 Norma topped with a Leupold Vari X target type scope. The asking price for the combo was bascially what the scope would cost new.
Thought about picking it up & have the rifle rechambered to .300 Win Mag. Put the target scope on an actual heavy barrel target rifle. And then top the hunting rifle with something more appropriate like a good 3-9 etc.
In the end I passed on the whole deal & someone else eventually bought it.
But no, rechambering to .300 Win Mag does not make you a bad person.

I've had them both and have stayed with 'my' preference, the 308 Norma Magnum.
