New Deer Slayer!! In slug gun form

Yeah, I was wondering when the guy installed the rings, I asked him to consider the amount of kick the slugs will produce but he said it should be fine. I guess we'll see. These are supposed to be good rings, grand slam I think

I used to have a scope on my slug gun. Mine is a smooth 18.5" barrel .
After about 100 rounds the base got loose. When I took it off, I found out that 3 screws were bent. One was broken.
Also the rear square transverse cutout was now round (in the shape of the ring bolt).
I still have the scope base on the shotgun though

Just bought weaver 6 bolt tactical rings with the square crossbolt design instead of the round bolt. As a previous poster pointed out, the rings
I have on now just don't seem beefy enough.

Have not read all the posts,very nice gun, I have used a rifled 870 for years, love them. My only concern would be your rings, I'd be putting rings with recoil blocks built in to them like Leupold PRW. You may find your rings move due to recoil. Hope your scope has some decent eye-relief
