Howdy CGNers... was at the range yesterday, got home and threw my brass in the vibrator...

Anyone recognize these cases???

So... I fired 50 each of .44 Mag, .22 BR Rem and .22 K-Hornet... When I pulled the brass out of the vibrator, I thought that the necks were crushed on my .22 BR brass... "What the heck!" Then I realized what had happened;

ALL 50 of the K-Hornet Brass found ALL 50 of the .44 Mag brass and vibrated its way into the case rim first and jammed TIGHT with media... They were a BUGGER to separate!

My theory is that the .44 Mag brass was jealous of the neck on the BR brass and did its best to mimic it;

I am normally shooting pistol OR rifle but not both... but I was shooting a new Ruger 77/44... and just threw all the brass in together... never run into this before, I thought it was interesting that after 8 hours in the vibrator every single piece of K brass found every single piece of .44 brass and managed to vibrate in rim first... and kinda flukey that the combination closely resembled the BR brass that was also in the tub...

I learned a very long time ago to keep brass separate when tumbling. FOr that reason and sorting is annoying anyway.

These cases are all so different I wasn't concerned with sorting difficulty... I wouldn't tumble .250 Savage an .22/250 together... etc... didn't anticipate finding a new wildcat.
